Hyundai Elantra N: The Aggressive Performance Sedan Set to Conquer China

Hyundai is set to launch the highly anticipated Elantra N in China after its initial release in South Korea last March. This move marks the first serious step towards introducing the N model to the Chinese market. With its impressive specs and aggressive design, the Elantra N is expected to become a top contender in the performance sedan category.

Although Hyundai did not provide technical details about the 2023 Elantra N, the previous model boasts a 2.0-liter turbo engine that delivers 276 horsepower (hp) and 392 Nm of torque.

The engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. With its impressive powertrain, the Elantra N can easily compete with other high-performance sedans in its class.

The 2023 Elantra N retains its predecessor’s aggressive stance with its wide top and bottom grilles.

The skirt used on the side remains the same, but the radial rim with an intricate pattern has been changed to a round design, reminiscent of Alfa Romeo. At the rear, the bumper has been replaced with a new set that looks more aggressive, while the spoiler on the boot remains the same.

Although Hyundai has not yet revealed the Elantra N’s interior, we can expect it to be as impressive as the exterior.

From the images, we can see shadows of the sports seats, which may stay as they are. Unlike the Honda Civic Type R, which has a red theme, the Elantra N’s interior is more comfortable with a dark color theme.

After the Elantra N, Hyundai plans to introduce the IONIQ 5 N in July 2023. This electric model with the N is expected to set new standards for electric performance vehicles. With its impressive specs, distinctive design, and solid reputation, Hyundai is sure to make a lasting impression on the Chinese market.
