Nissan has taken the initiative to announce a recall campaign for their electric hatchback, the Leaf, due to unexpected acceleration issues that arise after the driver deactivates the cruise control function.
Bloomberg reports that there are also instances of short circuits that could cause the electric motor to stop operating while the vehicle is in motion.
This recall campaign involves 1.38 million units of the Note, Kicks, Serena, and Note Aura models sold in the markets of the United States, Europe, and Japan.
