Kia Picanto Set to Unveil Striking Redesign in Facelifted Model

After a considerable period without any updates, Kia Motors has surprised enthusiasts by teasing a refreshed version of their hatchback model, speculated to be the upcoming Kia Picanto 2024.

Leaked photos from Autospy reveal that the 2024 Kia Picanto boasts a distinctively enhanced tiger nose grille design, taking inspiration from the Kia EV9 model. Accompanying this revamped front fascia is a new headlamp design that exudes a similar aesthetic. The rear light unit also follows suit, incorporating the same stylistic theme.

The showcased variant is the Picanto GT-Line, exhibiting a more aggressive bumper design, sporty rims, and a separate diffuser integrated into the rear bumper.

The interior layout of the cabin remains largely unchanged, except for the addition of a fully digital cluster screen, which prominently displays the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) functions, including the center lane-keeping system.

Kia has yet to divulge specific details regarding the powertrain options that will reside beneath the hood of this A-segment hatchback. However, it is highly probable that the vehicle will embrace mild hybrid technology, which is particularly well-suited for compact cars.

The current Kia Picanto offers a choice between a 1.0-liter inline three-cylinder engine, generating either 66 horsepower or 99 horsepower in the turbo variant.

Additional information will be unveiled ahead of the official launch, slated to occur in the near future.
