Hyundai Ioniq 5, one of the most popular electric cars in the market, has been facing backlash from its owners due to its recurring repair issues. One owner recently shared his experience on TikTok, revealing that his vehicle had to be taken to the workshop three times for the same issue.
Battery Issues and Poor Service
The owner mentioned that his Ioniq 5 had been left idle for several hours, causing its battery to become weak and difficult to start. When he took the car to the repair shop for the first time, he received poor service as the workshop blamed him for improper usage. Despite receiving a new battery replacement, the same issue recurred and the car had to be taken back to the garage.

Electrical Leak Suspected
During the second workshop visit, the car had to be kept for a week as it was suspected of having an electrical leak. Although the issue was fixed, it resurfaced on the third day of use. The owner then took the vehicle to another official repair shop, which also had a similar case, causing the car to stay there again.
Lack of Diagnosis and Replacement Unit
The owner then described his conversation with the technician who handled his car. Despite changing several parts, the technician could not confirm the damage that had occurred. The car was eventually taken to the Cikarang factory for further inspection, but the owner’s request for a replacement unit was not granted.
Jumpstarting Required
After the car was finally returned to the owner, it was discovered that the vehicle could only be jumpstarted using a motorbike battery. The owner expressed frustration and revealed that he did not want to keep the car anymore.
