Ferrari has just announced that they have reopened the orders for their first-ever SUV, the Ferrari Purosangue. This comes after a temporary halt in orders due to an overwhelming response from the public.
The Ferrari Purosangue was launched on a global level on September 13, 2022, and due to the large number of orders, the Italian sports car manufacturer stopped accepting new ones. However, Ferrari has now reopened the faucet for new orders.
This is excellent news for those who missed out on the initial ordering window, as they now have another opportunity to reserve their Purosangue. But be prepared for a longer delivery time, as orders will now be fulfilled by 2026.
The Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy, was unable to keep up with the high demand for this luxury SUV, which is Ferrari’s first foray into the SUV market. The Purosangue, which translates to “pure-blood,” is designed to compete with other luxury sports SUVs such as the Aston Martin DBX, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga, and Rolls Royce Cullinan.

Under the hood, the Ferrari Purosangue features a powerful V12 engine that generates 715 horsepower and maximum torque of 716 Nm, providing an exhilarating driving experience. It is no surprise that this car comes with a hefty price tag of USD 398,350 or around IDR 5.8 billion, which is slightly higher than the Lamborghini Urus, its closest competitor.
Ferrari is renowned for creating exclusive vehicles, and they have tried to maintain that exclusivity by limiting the number of Ferraris on the road. This is why they have been careful with the number of Purosangue SUVs they produce. However, the positive response from the public has compelled Ferrari to reopen orders for this luxury SUV.
Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna expressed his delight at the response to the Purosangue, stating that they were surprised by the positive feedback from the public. He also said that the company is doing everything possible to deliver these exclusive cars to their customers as soon as possible.
