Surpassing even the renowned Japanese and European brands, China has solidified its position as a frontrunner in the market. Recent data from Carnewschina reveals that China exported a staggering 2.14 million vehicle units worldwide during the latter half of this year.

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), this figure represents a remarkable 75.7 percent increase compared to the same period in the previous year. Among these exports, an impressive 1.78 million units were passenger vehicles, signifying a substantial year-on-year growth of 88.4 percent.

Notably, the number of electrified vehicles exported reached an astounding 534,000 units, showcasing an extraordinary 160 percent increase compared to the previous year.

While China has consistently exported around 1 million vehicle units annually in recent years, the year 2021 witnessed a substantial surge, surpassing the 2 million mark for the first time in history. Furthermore, projections indicate that China’s export volume will exceed 3 million units in 2022, positioning the nation as the second-largest car exporter, trailing only behind Japan.
