Honda, one of the world’s leading car manufacturers, has yet again demonstrated its commitment to promoting driving safety. This time, it showcased its latest technology through the Honda LaneWatch feature. The company unveiled this self-exhibition event at the ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia) and MIROS held the Vehicle Safety Course event.
The ASEAN NCAP utilized this opportunity to share the safety test assessment protocol used for cars in Southeast Asia. The Honda LaneWatch feature is a part of the company’s mission to create a safer environment for all drivers, passengers, and road users. This was highlighted by Billy, a spokesperson for Honda, who stated, “In line with Honda’s vision, which is Safety for Everyone, to create a safer environment for drivers, passengers and other road users.”
Honda has established a reputation for safety, with its products undergoing stringent testing procedures and meeting the highest safety standards set by ASEAN NCAP.
The LaneWatchTM feature is positioned on the left mirror of the Honda WR-V. This feature provides drivers with greater visibility and clarity of the road conditions on the left side of the vehicle. The information is displayed on the head unit screen, allowing drivers to stay alert and navigate safely. Drivers can activate the LaneWatch feature by pressing the left turn signal lever or by pressing the dedicated button on the turn signal lever.
The LaneWatch feature’s effectiveness in enhancing driving safety cannot be overstated. It provides a significant advantage to drivers when navigating through challenging conditions, such as heavy traffic or tight spaces. By increasing visibility and awareness, it also helps prevent accidents that can occur when drivers are not fully aware of their surroundings.
