The prestigious title of the world’s largest truck belongs to the extraordinary BelAZ 75710, capable of carrying an astonishing load of 500 tons. Manufactured by the renowned automotive company BelAZ in 2013, this remarkable vehicle weighs an impressive 360 tons.
Based in Zhodino, Belarus, BelAZ is renowned for producing an array of large truck models. The BelAZ 75710 truck boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 20 meters in length, 9.7 meters in width, and 8.2 meters in height.
This unique transport truck is equipped with enormous wheels, weighing a staggering 5.5 tons each, making it the sole vehicle of its kind capable of transporting a maximum payload of 450 tons. However, during testing in 2014, the truck defied expectations and astonishingly carried a payload of 503.5 tons, subsequently setting a remarkable Guinness world record.

According to an article on the Oddity Central website, on Sunday (11/6/2023), the world’s largest truck is equipped with a cutting-edge hybrid system featuring two MTU DD16V4000 V16 diesel engines. Each of these powerful engines is capable of producing an astounding 2,300 horsepower. Additionally, the engine is paired with two AC alternators and four AC traction motors.
Thanks to this impressive setup, the BelAZ 75710 truck can reach a speed of 60 kilometers per hour when unladen. However, when operating at full capacity or traversing uphill terrain, its speed is reduced to 45 kilometers per hour.
It is worth mentioning that currently, there are only three BelAZ-75710 ultra-class trucks in operation worldwide. All three of these colossal vehicles are employed in mining operations in Russia.
