The prevalence of multi-purpose vehicles (MPV) is growing extensively in Japan, encompassing various sizes ranging from small to medium and large. The competition has intensified with the entry of the Honda Freed MPV.
Initially launched in 2010, the prices for pre-owned models remain remarkably high. The Freed continues to be in demand in Japan and has now entered its second generation since its introduction in 2016.
According to a report from Carscoops, a refreshed model was unveiled in 2019, offering new features for users.
Both the Honda Freed and Freed Crossstar are available in sleek Black Style editions, adding to their stylish appeal.
The Freed has garnered positive responses from diverse customer segments in Japan, as it is considered an ideal and well-suited car.
The interior space is spacious, accommodating a variety of seating options, while the overall body dimensions are kept compact. Honda has demonstrated exceptional expertise in crafting car interiors.

The front grille and rear boot bracket are elegantly finished in chrome black, complemented by the Crystal Black Pearl color utilized on the side mirrors, door openers, and roof rails.
The Crosstar variant features black-painted exclusive 15-inch rims with a distinctive design.
Although predominantly black, gunmetal color is applied to the lower sections of the front and rear bumpers, resembling a skid plate.
The third brake light cover is transparent, adding a touch of sophistication. Inside the vehicle, the seat covers and door panels are adorned with silver embroidery.
A selection of five colors is available, including Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Silver Mist Green Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and the new Sonic Gray Pearl option.
Powering the Freed is a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC Atkinson cycle i-DCD engine mated to a seven-speed DCT transmission.
For customers who prefer non-hybrid engines, there is a 1.5-liter direct injection DOHC i-VTEC model available with a CVT transmission.
Both engine types can be paired with either front-wheel drive (FF) or four-wheel drive (4WD).
The most affordable variant of the Freed Crossstar Black Style with CVT FF is priced at 2,703,800 yen.
The top-tier option, Freed+ Crossstar Black Style Hybrid 4WD, which offers the most premium features, comes with a price tag of 3,215,300 yen.
The distinction between the Freed and Freed+ lies in the number of seats, with the former available in six-seat configuration and the latter in a five-seat version.
